By Road

From London - Turn off the M25 at Brentwood, onto the A12 towards Ipswich, bypassing Colchester. At the A12 Copdock interchange, take the 3rd exit on the A14 towards Felixstowe/Lowestoft. Come off the A14 at junction 56, and take the A137 towards Ipswich Central. Follow the signage towards Ipswich Central/Docks followed by Orwell Quay/Cliff Quay and University and College.  

Keep right to stay on Star Lane and follow the one way system around. You will see a brown sign, signposted “Salthouse Hotel” on the left hand side. Follow the road along the front of the harbour until you see the hotel on your left.  The car park is located just before the hotel, also on the left hand side.

From Ipswich - Travel along Civic Drive, head south towards Princes Street and following A1022. At the roundabout take the first exit onto Star Lane. Keep right to stay on Star Lane and follow the one way system around. You will see a brown sign, signposted “Salthouse Hotel” on the left hand side. Follow the road along the front of the harbour until you see the hotel on your left. The car park is located just before the hotel, also on the left hand side.

By Rail

If travelling by train, please arrive at Ipswich Train Station. There is a taxi rank located just outside the station and its around a 5 minute drive to the hotel.
